The project includes two courtyards. The property in Berlin's Wedding district, right on the border with Mitte, was completed in August 2018. The urban architecture is determined by the use as micro-apartments with large common areas. Facing Brunnenstraße are 142 fully furnished micro-apartments, with 553 student apartments distributed throughout the rest of the building. In keeping with the neighborhood's history, elements of industrial architecture are still evident in the project today. Structural elements such as exposed concrete and surface wiring were intentionally incorporated into the design. The floor-to-ceiling windows with mostly French balconies offer the small residential units an enlarged sense of space. A large community lobby with work and recreation areas for residents is located on the first floor, and a large laundry room is located in the basement.
After the sale of the property, the building will continue to operate by Cresco Immobilien Verwaltungs GmbH with its Neon Wood and Tannhaus brands.
The Neighbourhood

The project is located in a prime location in Berlin's Brunnenviertel district between Mitte/Wedding and Prenzlauer Berg. Before the Brunnenviertel was declared a redevelopment area, it consisted mainly of factories and workers' quarters moreover, the Wall ran just around the corner, which is still commemorated today by the Bernauer Strasse memorial city. Today we find here a popular residential and commercial area, which impresses with its proximity to Mauerpark and the green spaces and cultural venues developed there.
